Every late 1800s Singer Sewing Machine was sold with one of these accessory boxes. Box is stamped with the patent date —  February 19, 1889. This fingerjoined box is a wonderful honey colored oak. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/4” tall x 3 1/4” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up and snaps shut. Hinges are in good working order. Original finish was removed and the box was refinished inside and out with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-buffed with paste wax and 0000 steel wool. A very special item in beautiful condition. No reserve!
